Clear terms for our services.

1. Provider and scope

These General Terms and Conditions apply to contracts for web hosting, domains, game servers and related digital services supplied by Eichi.me - Webhosting Solutions, proprietor Christian Eichenberger, Schulgasse 12
8214 Gächlingen, Schweiz ("Eichi.me"). Customer terms apply only where expressly accepted by Eichi.me.

Individual products may be subject to additional service descriptions, order details or special terms. Together with these Terms they form the contract.

2. Contract formation and customer account

Products displayed on the website constitute an invitation to place an order. A contract is formed when Eichi.me confirms the order, activates the service or begins performance. Automated services may be confirmed immediately after successful payment.

Customers must provide accurate and complete registration and order information and keep it up to date. Login credentials must be kept confidential.

Acceptance of these Terms and, where applicable, the Data Processing Agreement (DPA) is documented electronically with timestamp, legal-text version, correspondence language and order reference. This record evidences electronic acceptance and is not represented as a qualified electronic signature. For new orders, Eichi.me archives a product contract as an order snapshot in the customer portal and, for web hosting, also the DPA applicable at the time of order.

3. Scope of services

The ordered service is defined by the product description shown at checkout. Resources such as storage, domains, email accounts, databases, FTP accounts, cron jobs, term or game-server resources depend on the selected product. Resources described as "unlimited" remain subject to fair, technically reasonable use and the actual limits of the systems used.

Eichi.me may change technical components, software versions, servers, IP addresses or internal platforms where this does not materially reduce the core contracted service.

4. Term, renewal and cancellation

Unless stated otherwise, web hosting is purchased for 12 or 24 months in advance. The specific term and total price are shown before the order is placed. A renewal is created only for the newly selected period or following confirmation in the customer portal.

Eligible products may be cancelled through "Contract & cancellation" for the end of the current contract period. Charges remain due until the end of that period. Prepaid periods are not refunded pro rata unless mandatory law requires otherwise.

Swiss law does not provide a general statutory cancellation right for online purchases. Where mandatory consumer law of another country applies to a customer, any statutory withdrawal or cancellation rights under that law remain unaffected. If the customer expressly requests technical performance to begin before the end of any applicable statutory withdrawal period, that request is recorded during checkout; its legal effect is governed by the mandatorily applicable law.

5. Prices, invoices and payment

The prices and currencies displayed during checkout apply. CHF is the platform base currency. EUR display prices are calculated automatically using the EUR/CHF reference rate stored by Eichi.me; the binding EUR amount shown at checkout is stored as the order and invoice snapshot. EUR orders are available only with a billing address in a Member State of the European Union; a Swiss billing address is processed in CHF. Available payment methods may include PayPal, bank transfer and, where enabled, invoice. Payment-provider terms also apply to the relevant payment service.

Invoices are payable by the stated due date. Customers are responsible for keeping their email address reachable and for reviewing messages in the customer portal.

6. Payment default, three reminders, suspension and deletion

If a due payment remains outstanding, Eichi.me generally sends three reminders. Reminders may be sent electronically to the stored email address and/or through the customer portal. The affected service may be technically suspended after an appropriate grace period.

If payment remains outstanding after the third reminder, Eichi.me may terminate the affected contract and remove the associated hosting, domain or game-server resources from active platforms to the extent technically and legally permissible. Websites, databases, email data, files, configurations and other customer data may then be permanently lost.

Backups are not an archive service. After suspension, termination or deletion there is no entitlement to restoration from backups. Existing backup copies may be overwritten or deleted according to the applicable rotation and retention cycle. Business and accounting records that must legally be retained are unaffected.

7. Domains

Domain checks only reflect the status known at the time of the query. A domain is registered or transferred only once confirmed by the responsible registrar or registry. Eichi.me cannot guarantee that a domain shown as available will remain registrable until completion.

Only where a web-hosting offer or the checkout expressly states this at the time of order may one standard domain registration be included without an additional registration fee for the first domain year. An entitlement arises only from the specific indication in the binding checkout; internal promotion rules or plan characteristics alone do not create an entitlement. Such a promotion applies only to one normal new registration of a supported, non-premium domain selected in the same order as the marked web-hosting plan. If no such domain is ordered with the hosting order, no later credit or entitlement to a free registration is created. Transfers, premium domains, special fees and additional domains are not automatically included.

Where a registration is expressly shown as included for the first domain year, this applies only to the first domain year. The domain has its own annual term even where the web-hosting service is booked for 12 or 24 months. Renewal from the second domain year is chargeable at the sales price displayed when the relevant renewal invoice is created. Domain prices depend on factors including registry, registrar and exchange-rate costs and may therefore increase or decrease from year to year. A renewal price shown at the initial order is a price snapshot only and is not a price guarantee for future years.

Eichi.me does not use uncontrolled paid registrar auto-renewal for customer domains. A renewal invoice may be created before expiry at the then-current price, and the paid registrar renewal is executed only after payment has been recorded. Customers may mark an active domain for non-renewal at the end of the current domain term in the Domain Center as long as the next renewal has not already been paid or applied. If a domain is not renewed in time, it may expire, be suspended or deleted, or become available for registration by third parties under registry/registrar rules; restoration is not guaranteed and may involve additional fees.

Registration, transfer and renewal may require data to be disclosed to Openprovider and to relevant registries, registrars or other entities necessary for domain administration. Customers are responsible for correct holder details, required authorisation codes and timely cooperation. Registry and registrar rules apply in addition.

8. Web hosting, email and technical use

Customers are responsible for their content, applications, passwords, scripts and configurations and must keep suitable independent backups. Eichi.me may apply technical safeguards, limits or suspensions where necessary for stability, security, abuse prevention or protection of other customers.

Prohibited uses include unlawful content, phishing, malware, unauthorised access, spam, attacks on third parties, abusive bulk email, deception, infringement of copyright or personality rights and uses that disproportionately impair infrastructure or other customers.

9. Game servers and community features

For game servers, technical control commands, server events, player names, runtimes and configuration data may be processed. Servers must not be used for unlawful or abusive purposes.

The public community, questions and answers, comments and customer reviews are intended for factual discussion. Contributions must be lawful, respectful and relevant. Eichi.me may moderate, hide or remove content and restrict accounts in cases of abuse.

Reviews may be subject to moderation before publication. Editing a review may trigger a new moderation process.

10. Support and abuse

Support is provided through the contact and ticket channels offered on the website. Unless a specific service level is expressly guaranteed for a product, no particular response or resolution time is promised. Abuse and security incidents may be investigated using the technical information required for that purpose.

11. Maintenance, availability and changes

Eichi.me aims to provide stable service but does not promise uninterrupted or error-free availability unless expressly agreed. Maintenance, security measures or disruptions affecting networks, data centres, registries, payment providers or other upstream services may temporarily affect availability.

12. Third parties and infrastructure

Eichi.me uses third-party technical and commercial services to provide its products, including data-centre/network infrastructure, domain registrar services, payment providers and email transport.

13. Liability

Eichi.me remains liable under mandatory Swiss law. To the extent legally permitted, liability for slight negligence and for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits or data loss is excluded. No limitation applies where prohibited by law, including cases of intent or gross negligence.

14. Data protection

Information on personal-data processing, cookies, recipients, international transfers and data-subject rights is available in the Privacy Policy.

Where Eichi.me processes personal data in hosted websites, databases, files, mailboxes or technical logs solely on the customer’s behalf, the Data Processing Agreement (DPA) applies in addition. It covers documented instructions, confidentiality, technical and organisational measures, sub-processors, international processing, assistance obligations, personal-data breaches, return and deletion.

15. Changes to these Terms

Eichi.me may amend these Terms where services, technical processes or legal requirements change. Material changes affecting ongoing contracts will be communicated appropriately and, where reasonable, take effect no earlier than the next renewal period. Mandatory legal changes and necessary security measures remain reserved.

16. Governing law and jurisdiction

Swiss law applies, excluding conflict-of-law rules, to the extent mandatory law does not provide otherwise. For business customers, the Canton of Schaffhausen is the place of jurisdiction where legally permissible. Mandatory consumer jurisdictions and consumer protections at the consumer's residence or habitual residence remain unaffected.

17. Final provisions

If a provision of these Terms is wholly or partly invalid, the remaining provisions remain effective and the statutory rule applies in place of the invalid provision.
